Vet Referral Procedure

SAME-DAY REFERRAL

Patients requiring critical intervention or intensive care.

  1. Call us prior to referral to discuss the case details with our ECC vets and prepare us for your patient’s arrival.
  2. We will inform you of cost estimates.
  3. Stabilise the patient as much as possible prior to transport.
  4. Send patient history, diagnostic results and imaging to reception@usvc.me
  5. You or the pet owner will transport the patient to the USVC hospital.

The patient will return to the referring veterinarian once referral interventions are no longer needed.

All relevant notes, reports, images, etc will be sent at the earliest possible opportunity. USVC vets are also available to further assist via phone or email if required.

Non-Urgent Referral

Patients not requiring immediate care.

Submit our online veterinary referral form.

Attach patient history, diagnostic results and imaging to the form OR send them to reception@usvc.me

Upon completion of the referral procedure, the patient will return home or to the referring veterinarian.
