He is one of fewer than 250 vets who is recognized by Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) as an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine (findavet.rcvs.org.uk). Malcolm holds a specialty qualification from the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) ) in Small Animal Medicine aswell as a post graduate certification in small animal ultrasound specializing in abdominal and cardiac ultrasound.
He enjoys medicine, diagnostic imaging, including CT imaging and cardiology and sees many second opinions in these fields as well as first opinion cases. Whilst he generally allows the other vets carry out the surgical cases he is a very experienced soft tissue surgeon.
Malcolm has attended conferences all over the world and is very much up to date with all the latest developments and research in the veterinary fields.
When not working he still tries to finish Ironman triathlon races.

Monique
View Bio
Monique graduated from the University of Queensland (Aus) and has worked in Australia, Hong Kong , UK before moving to Dubai. Monique also is an RCVS recognized Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine. For more information regarding this status please see findavet.rcvs.org.uk
She holds a specialty qualification in Small Animal Medicine from the ANZCVS. As well as this, Monique has just passed an intense course in Extracorporeal Medicine from UC Davis (USA) which is basically about renal haemodialysis in cats and dogs.
Whilst Monique is a very experienced and competent medic her passion is surgery and again is highly qualified in this field having attended week long programs on thoracic, upper respiratory, facial surgery and abdominal in the past 8 months alone. She also performs may ocular surgeries including conjuntival grafts. With the use of our CT she can carry out extensive diagnostic exams to decide which BOAS procedure should be performed on our brachycephalic (squashed faced) breeds. Again our CT allows advanced imaging so many complex soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries are performed routinely. She routinely sees surgical and medical second opinions as well as some first opinion work.
Monique is an advocate for a stress free environment for pets and their owners and the main driver in allowing our hospital to be one of the first ISFM Gold Standard cat practices in the UAE. She genuinely loves her job.
When not working she is an Ironman triathlete having competed at the 70.3 World Championships last year. Monique and Malcolm are also one of the main benefactors of the Liz School in Uganda, set up by Fred Lukonge , one of their former colleagues.

Shortly after, she embarked on a nine-month journey through Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, combining her love for travel with a growing interest in global veterinary care.

After a rewarding year of professional growth, she returned to the UK, spending the next two and a half years in general practice in Newcastle. In 2019, she relocated to Dubai, where she continues to pursue her passion for high-quality veterinary medicine.
Louise has a deep-rooted love for animals and is committed to delivering compassionate, gold-standard care to every patient. She has a particular affinity for feline medicine and is especially skilled at understanding cats and creating a calm, stress-free environment tailored to their unique needs.
